TeamSpeak
Saturday, July 29, 2006 (04:11:33) BA News
Posted by Aravel
Okay -- new servers are up and going, but your Governors will need to do some installation (namely, setup of channels, etc.) -- so please bear with us for today/tomorrow while I communicate with them and get the new servers fully operational. Expect to see new news posts either on the front page here or in the various Members forums with new server details.

This change was a bit abrupt -- please bear with us while we "punt", as it were, and get our new hosting solutions going!

Governors, please see your various Gov forums for details. Thanks!

Teamspeak Down Temporarily
Saturday, July 29, 2006 (02:41:20) BA News
Posted by From the Officers
We regret to inform you that our current host, Xgamehost (Redemption from WoW: KM) has shut down all TeamSpeak servers with the exception of WoW: KM this evening without warning. We had been working on a backup plan already, and hope to have new servers in place ASAP. Perhaps even on Saturday.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are working hard to get these back up and running. We'll notify you of any changes that need to be made in order to connect to your Province's TeamSpeak server.

BA KM downs Ragnaros!
Friday, July 28, 2006 (20:39:33) World of Warcraft News
Posted by Parslip
Last night we defeated Ragnaros, the final boss for Molten Core. This was our first victory over the fire lord. In just over two months time, we have managed to conquer our first 40-man instance.

Congratulations to all those involved, both present and absent (lots of people have helped us get this far). Congratulations to me on my shiny new shield, and all the other people who obtained new threads.

This is truly a milestone for our Province, and I assure you, there are many more to come.

Naxx, BWL, AQ40 OH MY!
Monday, July 24, 2006 (12:50:19) World of Warcraft News
Posted by Raskull
This last week was a high-mark in BAV raiding on Kel'Thuzad - in the same week we had 40+ of our raiders attuned for Naxxramas and made our first foray into the highest-end instance in WoW. Next we completed all of BWL in 1 day, practically one-shotting everything in the instance and on Sunday we headed into AQ40 and took down Fankriss, a new boss. The only way this happens is from the consistent dedication, preparation and superior playing skill of our members! BAV raiding in WoW KT has never been stronger. Congrats to everyone involved.

Battleguard Sartura down!

After a long absence from the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (aka AQ40) BAV ventured back in and made a bee-line for Battleguard Sartura. Thanks to the raid leadership of Caedox & Genoobi we got her down in short order and even made an attempt on the next boss, Fankriss. Congrats to all involved!

Greetings from NAXXRAMAS

The recent WoW update brought us a new 40-man instance - the Dread Citadel Naxxramas, filled with all manner of undead horrors. Just getting attuned to the instance so we can enter is a time-consuming and costly venture. The other night, a group of us got attuned and decided to venture in and go exploring ... and dying. It's going to be a couple more weeks before we have enough people attuned to start taking down the denizens of Naxxramas, but in the meantime it's still fun to explore new content!

Beta Testing, Bellum Aeternus Style!
Tuesday, June 27, 2006 (10:08:47) BA News
Posted by Soulsteel
Bellum Aeternus has grown in leaps and bounds ever since its founding days in planetside. The majority of our current supported game provinces found their roots and major driving force even in the early beta stages of game development.

Over the past number of months there has been a relatively quiet period in the number of betas and online game releases, but that's all about to change!

"Vanguard - Saga of Heroes" as well as "Lord Of The Rings Online" are just two games about to enter their beta testing phases and not surprisingly our community members are showing a great interest!

So head over to our BA Community Games forum and have a read! Perhaps one of these or any of the up and coming game titles out there could become our next supported province!

Member involvement is what makes things happen, if there is a game YOU have a passion for then share your interest with others. In the future it may be you taking on the role of Governor and steering us into a new evolution of Bellum Aeternus online gaming!

WoW:KM downs Onyxia and Majordomo, Ragnaros to 54%!
Saturday, June 17, 2006 (12:33:52) World of Warcraft News
Posted by Parslip
Last week, we one-shotted Onyxia on our second night ever attempting her, and we one-shotted her again tonight on our third night attempting her!

Additionally, tonight we one-shotted Sulfuron, Golemagg and Majordomo in our FIRST EVER ATTEMPT! However, we hadn't really prepared for Ragnaros (we didn't think we'd get that far), and so we only managed to get Rag down to 54%. Gratz to all those who picked up loot, and Ragnaros, we'll see what you are carrying soon enough!

Awesome job BA WoW:KM! Blackwing Lair is just around the corner!

Summer Raiding - Temple of Ahn'Qiraj & Beyond
Saturday, June 17, 2006 (12:33:43) World of Warcraft News
Posted by Raskull
Summer - when a young man's fancy turns to outdoor sports and faraway vacations! Summer can be a mixed time for MMO's and for a while our raiding suffered a little slump as members "checked out" or went on vacation (myself included!) However, I'm happy to report that after some rigorous recruiting we've swelled our ranks with new members and once again emerged victorious from Blackwing Lair. Special welcome to all of our new members from the dearly departed Cloak & Dagger guild - we hope you find a new home in Bellum Victoria. We'll be spending the summer blitzing MC & Onyxia to gear up newer members, refining our execution in BWL and then resuming our progress thru the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj - picking back up with Battleguard Sartura.

Pirates Ahoy!
Thursday, June 08, 2006 (00:18:29) Eve Online News
Posted by Chaz
EVE Online Governors writes: "Bellum Aeternus EVE has been growing by leaps and bounds in the three short months since its inception. During that time we have faced challenges from hostile factions and cultivated the support of friendly ones.

As more members from the corporation venture out into low-security space we face greater dangers to our assets and to our lives. The primary threat we face is that of piracy and as we have continued to build up our own military and economic might we’ve found ourselves more and more capable of being the harbingers of BA Justice. One such pirate group that we continue to clash with is known as V.E.T.O. These pilots often operate in small well-coordinated groups and field top of the line ships and technology against those who would be their prey. We have felt their sting on several occasions but each confrontation, each ship lost, is a lesson learned and another hammer-strike forging our warrior-spirit.

At the beginning of this week we undertook combat patrols through our home-space and met V.E.T.O again on the field. The initial engagement saw the loss of one of our frigates in a blinding flash of laser fire and explosions but seconds later our battleships arrived on the scene and the fight took a turn in our favor.

We held the field and destroyed them, this time. All said we inflicted nearly half a billion ISK in damage to V.E.T.O forces that day and the next. We tip our hats to V.E.T.O for the excellent engagements and for teaching us the hard way– may it continue, pirate scum.
